PURPOSE:To separate the scumming of the paper sheet transferred to a conveyor roller by a pressing roller to prevent the transfer of the scumming to a separating roller and maintain the conveying function of the conveyor roller by deviating an abutting peripheral surfaces between the pressing roller and the conveyor roller with respect to the same surfaces between the pressing roller and the separating roller. CONSTITUTION:The feeding operation of the paper sheet 5 is effected by abutting the separating roller 6' and the pressing roller 28 against a feeding roller 9' and the conveyor roller 20. The abutting peripheral surfaces 29 between the pressing roller 28 and the conveyor roller and the same surfaces 30 between the pressing roller 28 and the separating roller 6' are deviated whereby the scumming of a copy, transferred to the conveyor roller 20, receives the cleaning and separating effect of the pressing roller 28 and the scumming will never be transferred to the separating roller 6'. The scumming, transferred to the feeding roller 9', is transferred secondarily to the separating roller 6', however, the cleaning and removing effect is effected at the abutting surfaces between the separating roller 6' and the pressing roller 28 and, accordingly, the ping- pong transfer of the scumming between the feeding roller 9' and the separating roller 6' will never be generated.
