摘要
Pilus and virus antigens are used in the prepn. of inactivated, adjuvated, bivalent inoculant against diarrhoea in newborn calves, caused by microorganism namely Rotovirus and Escherichia coli. - The pilus antigen is obtd. by concentrating an inactivated fermented pure culture of E. Coli. gp. of ST+K99 antigen, structure, (No: NCAIMB(P)001098). - Cells are mechanically disintegrated and the antigen is isolated by centrifug ng. - A suspension of a virus-antigen is also prepd. with the use of H.C.S. marked Bovine Rotavirus, (No: NCAIM V(P) 001099). The The Bovine Rotaviruses isolated from newborn calves showing symptoms of diarrhoea is cultured on a monkey-kidney cell line, marked MA-104. The pilus-antigen and the suspension of the virus-antigen are mixed in given proportions, oil contg. adjuvant is added and the prepn. is stored at +4 deg.C. The inoculant is injected into pregnant cows two-or three times. Newly born calves gain immunity by drinking colostrum. - (Dwg.0/0)
