The invention relates to a method for taking specimens from the subsoil or fissure system in rock for analysis by pumping ground air from specified points and condensing the vapour present in the ground air pumped up to form a specimen in liquid form intended for analysis, the said specimen possibly also containing liquid entrained in the ground air pumped up. The invention also relates to a method for cleaning the subsoil using the technique described above.
