Switch=on delay arrangement for vehicle equipment, esp. radio - operates when ignition is switched on unless radio is switched on using its own controls

The delay arrangement contains one switching device operated by the motor vehicle's ignition key and another in the equipment itself. The equipment switching device (10) is controlled by a timer (6) and switching logic (7) to switch on after a limited period if switch-on is dependent on the ignitionm lock switch (11). The switching delay and the combination of other digital signals to control the equipment switch are under the control of a microprocessor program. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for delaying motor vehicle radio switch-on during engine starting. Delay is disabled if radio is switched on using its own controls.
