Arrangement for actuation hydraulic operating equipment of a rock drill of the opening arm or a similar drilling arm construction

An arrangement for operating hydraulic actuators (1) in a rock drilling machine, comprising pressure-controlled over- center valves (7, 8) connected to conduits (5, 6) leading to chambers (3, 4) positioned on opposite sides of a piston (2) or the like of the double-acting actuator, and non-return valves (11, 12) connected in parallel therewith. In order to operate the actuator (1), one or two cartridge-type regulating valves (14, 15) are mounted with the actuator for remote control by way of signal lines (22, 23) for, preferably, electrical signals. In the arrangement, a single pressure fluid supply hose (13) and a single pressure fluid return hose (9) are required for the operation of all the actuators (1) each of which has an associated control circuit as shown. In operation remote actuation of say valve (14) directs fluid from hose (13) through non-return valve (16) into the left hand working chamber of the actuator (1). Pressurisation of a control conduit (19) also occurs, resulting in opening of the valve (8) and flow of fluid from the right hand working chamber (4) to the return hose (9). Overload conditions in chambers (3, 4) are relieved through the valves (7, 8). IMAGE
