The movable tip-up flushing arrangement for flushing two superposed basins in a waste water plant comprises two flushing tip-ups (9,9') mounted on a frame which can be moved along the basins (3,21) wherein one tip-up (9') is set above the intermediate space (47) for flushing the lower basin (21) and the other tip-up (9) is mounted above the top basin (3) this side of the overflow edge (23). The frame is pref. driven over a pair of rails attached to the ceiling or walls of the plant. The tip-ups can have different volumes to allow complete utilisation of the top and bottom rain water chambers. The tip-ups can be filled through a single valve with two outlets. USE/ADVANTAGE - The structural height of the basins can be reduced and the basins can be cleaned rationally with low mechanical expense.
