The skin of the balloon is made at least partly of elastic material, suitable for imaging by X-ray radiation. In the pumped up position of the balloon (5) it lies at the inner wall of the blood vessel (1), which correspondingly can be imaged radiographically. The inner tube (3) of the balloon catheter (2) is arranged with suitable openings (6,7) for the passage of the blood flow, which correspondingly can pass with the diagnosis and therapy with a pumped up balloon. ADVANTAGE - Enables formation of radiological image of vessel wall in region of blood vessel wall in which pumped up cathether lies.
