Electric convection heater with integral humidifier - uses electric resistance heating with water vaporisation facility regulated by hygrostat to generate controlled humidity

The electrical convection heater is controlled by a thermostat (2) monitoring the ambient temperature and has an integral humidifying apparatus (6). The humidifier is electrically operated and controlled by the convector regulator themostat, the thermostat being arranged to simultaneously switch the humidifier and the electric heating resistances (4). The humidifier may use a variety of techniques: an ultrasonic evaporator; and immersion element; or a spray supplied with pressurised water. A hygrostat (17) also controls the operation of the humidifier to prevent excess humidity. The water is supplied from a reservoir (10) connected to mains water, with the level controlled by a float valve (14). ADVANTAGE - Gives more satisfactory operation and allows adjustment of humidity level.
