The therapeutic composition according to the invention comprises as active principles two compounds, one of natural origin, watercress extract advantageously combined with hydroquinone or one of its derivatives on the one hand, and with a cutaneous absorption promoter on the other hand, such as, for example, alkyldimethylbenzylammonium saccharinate. The formulations, which contain, in addition, excipients which are known per se, incorporate hydroquinone or one of its derivatives, in micronised form, in various pharmaceutical dosage forms such as gels, lotions or aerosol foams. Use in the treatment of melanin hyperpigmentations, acquired or otherwise, and in the lightening of pigmented skins.
