PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for cutting a metallic mold out of an ingot-shaped material and to reduce the metallic mold production cost and a working term by eliminating the up-down movements of a tool in the direction of an axis Z during a cutting process. CONSTITUTION:A working reference line production part 9 produces many working reference lines which are parallel to the moving direction of a tool at the interval equal to the pick value. A working surface production part 11 produces a metallic mold cutting surface at the cutting position of the tool and a shape of the working surface based on the material shape. An intersecting point production part 12 calculates the intersecting points between the metallic mold shape of the working surface and the working reference lines. A polygon production part 13 produces a polygon by connecting successively the intersecting points between the shape of a metallic mold and the working reference lines. An offset process part 14 produces an offset graphic where a margin part like the tool radius, etc., is offset to the polygon. The part 12 calculates the intersecting points between the offset graphic and the working reference lines. Then a tool locus control part 15 discriminates a segment M connecting the shape of the material, the working reference lines, and the intersecting points between the offset graphic and the working reference lines from a segment N connecting the intersecting points between the offset graphic and the working reference lines and feeds the points which are used as a tool locus.
