PURPOSE:To improve rooting ratio of a young plant and assist growth of the young plant by rearing the young plant obtained by plant tissue culture using an acclimating and rearing material consisting of granular soil obtained by granulating a specific soil (and fibrous material) into definite granule size. CONSTITUTION:An acclimating and rearing material consisting of a granular soil containing 0.01-0.5wt.% fertilizer ingredient as total. amount of active ingredients and obtained by granulating soil or soil and fibrous material such as polyvinyl alcohol or rock wool into granules having 0.3-5mm size and being =1.0 in pH change caused when 100g of the above-mentioned granular soil is dipped into 250ml water and 10ml of 0.1N sodium hydroxide or 0.1N sulfuric acid is added to the mixed liquid and being 0.2-0.8mS/cm in electric conductivity when 100g of the granular soil is dipped into 500ml water is packed into a pot, etc., and a young plant reared in a tissue culture medium is transplanted thereto to assist growth of young plant.
