PURPOSE:To measure a current of a diluted solution, a current of a standard solution and a current of a solution to be tested and calculate the concentration of the solution to be tested from a specific formula by a method wherein a standard solution which is chemically stable and detected easily and makes chemical reaction with the solution to be tested easily is introduced and this standard solution is used superfluously over the solution to be tested. CONSTITUTION:A standard solution, which is chemically stable and detected easily (i.e. the variation of a current is large) and makes chemical reaction with a solution to be tested easily, is introduced. A current value X0 of a diluted solution and a current value X1 of the standard solution are measured and then the solution to be tested is added and its current value X2 is measured. As a result, a stable current value is obtained. In other words, the standard solution is added (Q) and its current value X1 is measured and then the solution to be tested is added (P). The solution to be tested reacts with the standard solution quickly and the current value X2 corresponding to the superfluous standard solution is measured. The concentration Ni of the tested solution is calculated by the formula; Ni=(X1-X2)divided by (X1-X0)X N0 (where N0 means the predetermined concentration of the standard solution). Because the standard solution is chemically stable and variation of its current is large. Concentration measurement without measurement error can be realized.
