PURPOSE:To objectively analyze and evaluate ultraviolet radiation defending power of the skin by obtaining an ultraviolet radiation reflection factor and collating an obtained value with a correlation table between the ultraviolet radiation defending power and the ultraviolet radiation reflection factor. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet radiation irradiating lamp of long wave length is built in a measuring tool 4 of an ultraviolet radiation reflection factor measuring device and used for measuring a reflection factor of long wave length ultraviolet radiation (UVA), and an ultraviolet radiation irradiating lamp of intermediate wave length is built in a measuring tool 5 and used for measuring a reflection factor of intermediate wave length ultraviolet radiation (UVB). A point end opening part of the measuring tool 4 is lightly press-attached to the skin surface of a measured person, and the ultraviolet radiation reflection factor is measured by pressing a remote switch 6. The UVA reflection factor is displayed in a display means 8 in several seconds after the remote switch 6 is pressed. In the case of checking the UVB reflection factor, the measuring tool 5 and a remote switch 7 are similarly operated. By collating a measured value of the ultraviolet radiation reflection factor with a list of a relation between ultraviolet radiation defending power and the ultraviolet radiation reflection factor, defending power of the measured person for ultraviolet radiation can be objectively evaluated.
