A tympan for a stacking harness, comprising a uniform- width supporting body 1 made from polymer material, preferably medium-soft rubber, the one side of which is configured with two supporting bulges 2 placed symmetrically around the centre point of the supporting body 1, and against the other side of which there is fastened a uniform-width metal band 4, preferably made from stainless steel or brass, which is somewhat narrower than the supporting body 1 and the side of which facing the supporting body 1, around pre-drilled holes, is provided with welded-on or soldered-on nuts 5,6,7,8, distributed symmetrically around the centre point of the tympan, which are suitable for the attachment of accessories appropriate to a stacking harness. The tympan is manufactured under high pressure and high temperature so that the metal band 4 is fastened by gluing against the vulcanized rubber, after which final forming of the tympan takes place following cooling.
