The equipment concerned was designed, after many experiences gained in the field of the recovery of residual heat contained in the residual water which, in industry, in general, is sent to the purifying plant for treatment in accordance with the tables of the anti-pollution regulations in force. As is known, a large part of the waste water is ejected from industrial processing at quite a high temperature (between 70 and 90 degrees C. This temperature, which is not acceptable for the relevant anti-pollution regulations, is reduced by mixing the hot liquids with the cooler ones on entry into the purifying plant. In view of the considerable quantities of hot liquid ejected, there is a huge waste of thermal energy, which is to say fuel. The exchanger concerned by the invention belongs to the range of equipment suitable for energy recovery, in particular, given its structure, which is entirely made of stainless steel, it is suited to the treatment of corrosive liquid waste.
