Disclosed herein is 1,3-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-­2-(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)propan-2-ol represented by the following formula (I): An antimycotic preparation containing the triazole compound (I) is also disclosed. Also disclosed is a method for the prevention and/treatment of a deep-seated mycosis of a human or mammal, which comprises administering an effective dose of the triazole compound (I) to the the human or mammal.
