Magnetic tape control led slide projector - uses pulses on tape used for synchronised commentary to advance and reverse slide positioning mechanism

The diapositive projector (2) connected to a remote operating device (10) is supported by a stand (4) shaped to carry a tape recorder (3) at one end. The tape is used to synchronise a commentory with the images on the screen, and also carries sound pulses for operating the projector automatically. The tape recorder circuit has sound recording and reproducing sections also a section for generating the sound pulses for operating the slide positioning mechanism. The pulse generating section is controlled by the remote operating device, and produces pulses of two different frequencies, a decoder being used to select the required frequency for forward or reverse movement. ADVANTAGE - Compact design, giving automatic operation.
