The invention relates to a tie rod 10 for bracing the machine body 8 of a winning machine 1, subdivided into individual construction units 5, 6, 7 transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine, for underground mining. The tie rod 10 is arranged in the surface area of the machine body 8, extends over its length and is supported against abutments 11 at both ends of the machine body with its fastening elements 12 producing the clamping forces. The tie rod 10 is of rectangular profile and is provided at both ends with one extension 13 each, bent towards the machine body 8, for the engagement of the clamping elements 12. The bending is selected in such a way that the associated clamping element 12 lies inside a profile space defined by the outer tie-rod surfaces. IMAGE
