Tilt plate type keyboard with quartz pressure sensors - uses computer storing geometrical position of each key surface

The keyboard keys fit on a flat plate (10) which is mounted so that it can be tipped in the direction of three or four sensors (111-114) and connected to a microprocessor (13). This stores the geometrical arrangement of each of the equally sized key surfaces. The sensors, subject to a periodic zero adjustment, are made in the form of quartz pressure sensors, each arranged immediately with its own counter (121-124) synchronised by the microprocessor which receives their output signals. USE/ADVANTAGE - Function of keys can be programmed and varied easily. Suitable for data processing systems.
