Process for applying 2-component adhesives (I) consisting of synthetic resin and hardener, comprises bridging together a flexible resin laeyr contg. one adhesive component and a flexible hardener layer contg. the other adhesive component, and pressing the two layers closely together over the whole surface to produce a hardened resin layer. (I) is claimed as such, comprising a cover film to which the synthetic resin is applied and which has, on the application side, a surface layer which repels adhesive components, and a self-adhesive film to which the hardener is applied and which easily adheres to the substrate. USE/ADVANTAGE - A 2-component adhesive system which can be applied to the bonding surfaces in a constant mix ratio without special spray equipment and without the constrains due to limited working time; resin and hardener are applied in the exact amts. required and in absolutely even layers, without any skin contact (contrast prior-art systems). Thick layers can be built up to fill spaces as above, so the system can be used as a partial filler, e.g. in automobile bodywork, boat construction, repairs etc.
