A model head has a base (1) and an upper part which forms the hair support (2). Both parts (1,2) are loosely connected together by means of a detent system (13) and the base itself comprises two injection moulded plastic half shells (3) rigidly joined to form the face and rear neck. A holding device (6) located between the shells (3) is linked to a support (11) via a ball joint (9a,10) and also supports parts (17,18,19) of the detent system (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - The model is used to create hairstyles, the base does not vary from a predetermined shape, the hair section sits perfectly on the base and a play-free connection is achieved between head and holder.
