The eccentric grind has a reversible eccentric spindle, using a gear which travels inside toothing on the output side of the grinder to rotate the grinding wheel switchably as required in superposition to the conventional eccentric trajectory. The rotary movement of the grinding wheel (20) is switched on and off by reversing the direction of rotation of the spindle. The gear (17) travelling the fixed internal toothing (18) is centered by a hub (16) rotating on the spindle (13). A freewheel (19) is formed between the gear and hub by spring loaded arrester (22), incorporated in the hub and by identations in the gear. The freewheel allows the gear to move w.r.t. the boss in one spindle rotary direction. ADVANTAGE - Easy switching.
