Vibration damper for eliminating vibration in building structures, consisting of a cylindrical or annular housing attached rigidly to the structure, and, evenly distributed round the periphery, exchangeable ball cups (3) attached to the base plate of the housing (1), a ball (2) in each ball cup, and an exchangeable ball cup (3) over each ball (2), rigidly attached to the container (9) for the vibration eliminating mass (10). With the annular configuration of the vibration eliminator, pref. three damper housing (12) with damping cylinders (11) and vibration eliminating mass (10) are provided. Pref. the housing (1) and the damper housings (12) are partially filled with a damping fluid, esp. high viscosity silicone oil (claimed). USE/ADVANTAGE - The system eliminates wind-induced vibration in building structures such as chimneys, television and radio masts, observation towers, etc., and is weatherproof and maintenance-free.
