CONRADI'S ROD AS APPLICATOR OF MICROORGANISMIC SUSPENSION ON FLAT PLATE OF AGAR AND APPLICATOR OF MICROORGANISMIC SUSPENSION ON FLAT PLATE OF AGAR USING THE SAME ROD

PURPOSE:To obtain the title rod capable of uniformly and thinly applying a microorganismic suspension on a flat plate of agar by cutting a bar glass material having a part for applying a microorganismic suspension at the tip into halves at the middle thereof and connecting both the cut parts with a coupling member of flexible material in a straight-line state. CONSTITUTION:A handle part 24 of bar glass material is cut into halves in the middle thereof and both the cut parts are connected in a straight-line state through a coupling member 50 of a flexible material (silicone tube). Even if a part 26 for applying a microorganismic suspension at the tip of the prepared Conradi's rod 10 is pressed to a flat plate of agar, excessive pressing force is not transmitted to the surface of the flat plate of agar and the application part is pushed against the surface of the flat plate of agar by proper force.
