METHOD FOR RAISING MULTIROOTED STOUT SEEDLING AND ITS APPARATUS FOR RAISING SEEDLING

PURPOSE:To develop stout roots and raise good seedlings by using a nursery device in which the upper and lower side parts are detachably assembled, extirpating shoot apexes, simultaneously excising the root tips and treating cut faces of the roots. CONSTITUTION:In cultivation using a nursery device in which the upper part 7 and the lower part 3 of each nursery pot are detachably assembled, shoot apexes are extirpated in a suitable period and the number of excising the roots 13, the period of extirpating or root length is specified according to the species of the plant or purpose of raising to excise root tips. Furthermore, a new culture medium containing hormones or active materials, etc., mixed therein is filled in the cut surfaces of the roots to cure the cut ends. The roots are then set after the lapse of a period of rerooting to develop stout roots.
