PURPOSE:To classify solids efficiently with one time of weighing by classifying the solids by mass, storing these in temporary storage boxes, ANDing prescribed weights and empty chamber signals, and delivering these into the segmented chambers of conveyors provided in the lower part. CONSTITUTION:Conveyors A-D are provided in orthogonal intersection with conveyor lines 1-4. Solids are weighed, are broken down to classes A-D in accordance with their masses and are stored in temporary storage boxes 5 by releasing members 7 operated by pneumatic cylinders 8. The conveyor shown in the figure is assumed to be the one belonging to the class A. When the box 5 attains a prescribed weight, an upper gate 12 closes, and the segmented chamber 15 of an endless conveyor belt 16 moves to the lower part thereof, and a delivery gate 10 opens to deliver the solids. At this time, the prescribed weight signal is ANDed with the signal of a sensor 19 that detects the empty chamber of the segmented chamber 15, and the solids are delivered. The solids are broken down to the classes A-D efficiently only by one time of weighing.
