PURPOSE:To realize a safe high position work by connecting the conductor of a bypass cable for live work, in which a cable conductor is insulated with a shielding layer, with the casing of a discharger incorporating a current limit resistor thereby gradually discharging the residual charges. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 3 of a bypass cable 1 for live work is covered with an insulation coating 4, a coating material 4, a conductive shielding layer 5 and an outer coating 6 and a sleeve 7 is press fit to the end of the conductor 3. A tubular conductive connecting case 8 is disposed on the outside of the sleeve 7 through an insulator 9 and an insulating cap nut 11 is fixed at an enlarged part 8a thus forming a connector 2. A plurality of grooves 14 are made axially at the tubular shaft part 13a of a guide case 13 for a discharger A composed of synthetic resin, and the grooves 14 are abutted on the tapered part 19 of the connector 2 and then the cap nut 11 is screwed over an external thread 16. A current limiting resistor 20 connected with a terminal holder 24 which abuts on the sleeve 7 has the other end connected through a screw 18, a shielding layer contacting board 17 and the case 8 with the shielding layer 5. According to the constitution, no routing wire is required resulting in a safe discharge work at a high position.
