CONSTITUTION:The hole 8 is beforehand bored to a material 1 to be broken of concrete, rock, etc., with a breaker, etc. Then, the tube 2 in a breaking device 1 is inserted into this hole 8 so that the whole length of exposing part of tube is housed in the hole. Successively, the working fluid of oil, water, steam, etc., is supplied into the tube 2 in the hole 8 with a pressure pump 6 to raise the inner pressure in the tube 2. Then, the outer diameter of tube 2 is expanded and deformed, and by working the high pressure toward the outside against the whole inner circumferential wall face of hole 8, the rock is cracked. By this method, large breaking effect is obtd. with little force.
