CULTURE OF STRAWBERRY HARVESTED IN SUMMER AND AUTUMN BY COOLING WATER CONTAINED IN ROOT ZONE

PURPOSE:To cool water contained in root zone and to continuously induce floral differentiation and to prolong harvest period, by embedding water supply pipes in the root zone and passing cooling water through the pipes. CONSTITUTION:Plural separated beds 13 are laid in a plastic greenhouse of cheese cloth 10, water supply pipes 1 having preferably 2-10cm inner diameter and porous pipes 3 are embedded in soil 9 in the separated beds 13. Cold water preferably at 13-24 deg.C is sent to the water supply pipes and further water is discharged to the outside by the porous pipes to culture strawberries.
