CLONED DNA OF LECTIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE PRECURSOR BONDING TO LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE ORIGINATED FROM AMERICAN COCKROACH, ITS FRAGMENT, THEIR PRODUCTION AND PLASMID INTEGRATED WITH THE CLONED DNA OR FRAGMENT
CLONED DNA OF LECTIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE PRECURSOR BONDING TO LIPOPOLYSACCHARIDE ORIGINATED FROM AMERICAN COCKROACH, ITS FRAGMENT, THEIR PRODUCTION AND PLASMID INTEGRATED WITH THE CLONED DNA OR FRAGMENT
NEW MATERIAL:A cloned single-stranded DNA containing about 770 deoxyribonucleotides coding the amino acid sequence of a lectin-like substance precursor bonding to lipopolysaccharide originated from American cockroach (Periplaneta americana) or a cloned double-stranded DNA consisting of the single-stranded DNA and a complementary DNA. EXAMPLE:The DNA having the nucleotide sequence of formula. USE:Elimination and determination of lipopolysaccharide. PREPARATION:The objective DNA is produced by transforming an RNA of the fat body of American cockroach to poly(A)RNA, preparing a cDNA library with a vector primer DNA, transforming E.coli and screening by using a probe consisting of a 5'-terminal labeled product of a mixture of an mRNA corresponding to formula II which is an N-terminal amino acid sequence of a known lectin-like substance bonding to lipopolysaccharide originated from American cockroach and a complementary mRNA of formula III.
