SHIELD EXCAVATING MACHINE AND CONSTRUCTION OF TUNNEL BY USING SHIELD EXCAVATING MACHINE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To easily construct a branched and jointed part by excavating a tunnel having a large section in the cooperation of five units of shield machines and constructing a simple circular and multiple circular tunnels by a simple circular and multiple circular tunnel shielding machines from the opposite side and joining these tunnels. CONSTITUTION:Four shield machines 3, 5, 7, and 9 having each independent excavating mechanism are arranged in rectangular form, and the fifth shield machine 11 having independent excavating mechanism is arranged in projection forwardly at the near center part, and a shielding excavating machine 1 is constituted. A multiple circularr tunnel 27 is constructed by this shielding excavating machine 1, and four units of simple circular shielding machines 29a,... are advanced from the oppoite side, and the simple circular tunnels 31a-31d are constructed. Then, the tunnel 27 and the single circular tunnels 31a-31d are joined at each front, and a branched and joined structure consisting of four lines in reciprocation of the tunnel is constructed. Accordingly, the branched and joined part of the tunnel having a large section can be constructed easily.
