GROUP OPERATING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR GROUP

PURPOSE:To reduce the burden on an elevator manager in case of emergency by allowing each elevator to make the nearest-storey stopping operation in such a sequence as first from the elevator group having larger starting capacity automatically with maneuvering by the manager when all private power generation devices remain out of normal starting. CONSTITUTION:When power failure occurs in a building 1, all units belonging to elevator groups 2, 3, n stop. An operation device 4 judges whether all private power generation devices of the building 1 have started normally, and if 'yes', all units belonging to No.1 group 2 are automatically given direct travel start command to respective specified storeys simultaneously. When they arrive, all unit belonging to No.2 group are given a command to go straight to respec tive specified storeys simultaneously, followed by No.3 group.....No. n group n. In case all units but one remain out of starting, the operating device 4 starts command so that one elevator each belonging to No.1 group 2 thru No.n group n are dispatched directly to the specified storey one after another, which is actuated by the manager who pushes an abnormal start command switch.
