AUTONOMOUS SYSTEM OF READING AND REGISTRATION OF IMPULSES

The autonomous pulse reading and recording system is aimed at expediting the centralised and/or individualised reading of meters (1) generating or sending out pulses thereby also expediting the billing of consumptions. The readings take place directly by storing, in elements, the generated pulses, or from a distance by radio transmission by using a fixed unit (46) with a data transmitter (54) with an antenna (47) and a mobile unit (56) having a transmitter receiver unit located in a vehicle (49). The read out is conveyed in both direct read out and radio transmission read out to a central computer (51) for rating purposes. Each meter (1) generates or sends out pulses and is connected to a pulse storage unit (2) that can be shunted to a number of pulse storage units (2), each of which is connected to a meter (1). The pulse storage units are housed in a consolidator module or box (3) connected through a connector (14) common to all pulse storage units to a mobile read out unit carrying the programs indicating the day's rounds and the customers to be read.
