In the process dense slag/ash slurry is prepd. in the boiler area of coal fired power station. Slag dropped from the furnace into the slag cooler, dry ash collected from the economiser, air preheater and electrostatic precipitator, and water warmed in the slag cooler are routed to the mixing equipment. The correct amt. of water required for mixing is withdrawn from the slag cooler and the slag is routed via the slag breaker and the ash is directly fed into the mixer. The dense slag/ash slurry passing through the mixer pipe is made to collide with wet slag and dry ash and the dense slag/ash slurry is routed to a collection basin. Water warmed in the slag cooler is cooled, cleaned and returned to the slag cooler. The mixing equipment comprises a collection basin in the boiler area which is connected to several mixer devices, which are located under the slag breaker and/or temporary ash storage bins. Gravity channels or drop pipes are used between the mixers and the slag breaker and/or the ash storage bins.(Dwg.0/0)
