Production of activated charcoal cloths and their preparation for use in shoe insoles and other applications

Industrial method for producing activated charcoal cloths to prepare insoles for shoes and other applications, starting with fabric of semisynthetic materials, which are impregnated with solutions of salts and other compounds preventing hydrolysis, are let stand moist in this, then drying in ovens, and are finally placed in horizontal furnaces in a circulating flow of carbon dioxide heated up to the decomposition temperatures of the salts and of the treated materials, allowing time to pass at constant temperature to avoid the exit of the reaction products being sudden and harmful to the mechanical characteristics of the resulting cloths. The temperature of the furnaces is then increased, exceeding the temperature at which the processes are activating, being then maintained and finally cooling down under the same carbon dioxide flow as in the heating stage.
