The device consists of a housing (2) containing two cylindrical chambers (3, 4) with parallel axes (3a, 4a), such that the chambers are interconnected along a portion of their lateral surface and length in a coaxial way. In each one of the chambers is a screw rotor (5, 6) with helical lobes so that one of one rotor is in mesh, in the zone of intersection of one chamber, between two adjacent lobes of the other rotor in the other during their contra-rotation around their axes. The chambers are divided up into defined zones, one a suction section (7) and the other an outlet section (8). The lobes of the two rotors (5, 6) are substantially of the same profile, with one having one more lobe than the other. USE/ADVANTAGE - As a high throughput rotary helical gear pump of a gas or a liquid where the similar shape of the lobes of the two rotors makes for a cheaper unit.
