The pulse jet aircraft engine has a curved pipe (1) which replaces the usual floating disc valve. This curved pipe enables combustion air to be drawn into the combustion chamber and at the same time allows the combustion gases to flow out to generate the required thrust. The curved pipe is made from sheet copper or from enamelled sheet steel. The curved pipe has less weight and a longer service life than the floating disc valve which it replaces. It is of rugged construction and requires no maintenance and is silent in operation. The sub-atmospheric pressure in the combustion chamber is reduced and the thrust is increased.
