A coke-oven door has an elastic sealing membrane attached to the door body and, pref., adjustable in the oven's lengthwise direction. The free end of the membrane carries a spring-loaded sealing element, which is pressed against the door frame by adjustable leaf-springs arranged in accordance with Patent 3913247. Several features and variants are claimed for the leaf spring desin and attachments. USE/ADVANTAGE - Production of the specially-shaped leaf spring to meet Patent 3913247 requirements may be difficult. In this amendment, the leaf-spring form and arrangement are improved in respect of production costs and effectiveness.
