Tomosynthesis system for determining two or three=dimensional data of object - has source which transmits stream of particles or wave field which penetrates object being investigated and is weakened corresp. to D=dimensional object structure
A single or a two-dimensional sensor is provided for the stream of particles or the wave field, from the output signal of which an evaluation unit computes the two or three-dimensional object structure. The stream of particles or the wave field is a diverging stream or a divergent wave field. The source (3) and the object (1) are moved relative to each other in planes which are parallel to each other and to the sensor plane (2) in such a way, that the positions or the differences in position of the projections of all surfaces or vol. elements are known for all shots, and are projected on prescribed discrete sensor elements. The source and the object are moved relative to each other, on collinear straight lines, with determn. of two-dimensional data. The source and the object take N positions on parallel planes, for the resolution of M-deep layers of the object (with M equal to or less than N), with the determn. of three-dimensional data. ADVANTAGE - Facilitates unambiguous reconstruction e.g. for finite three dimensional Voxel grid from finite number of spatial projections on two-dimensional detector grid.
