Storing cinematographic film print copying exposure values - converting electronic exposure control data of additive copying machine into optical signals for exposure onto edge track not used for sound
Storing cinematographic film print copying exposure values - converting electronic exposure control data of additive copying machine into optical signals for exposure onto edge track not used for sound
The optical signals converted from the electronic control data are photographically exposed on a border edge of the photosensitive copy material, e.g. on the right-hand edge for 35mmm film, i.e. on the side without a sound track, or in the spaces between perforations for 16 mm film. The exposure intensity matches the material sensitivity. The data are so coded and exposed that they can be opto-electronically read and evaluated. The data can be numerically coded so that they can be directly evaluated by observation. The data can be applicable to positive as well as reverse material for correct colour rendition. ADVANTAGE - No need to produce interregative copy. Copes with sequences differing from main exposure level.
