PURPOSE: To provide a carcinostatic anticancer agent capable of quickly improving and curing malignant tumor of mammals including human by the daily oral administration without causing side effect. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective carcinostatic anticancer agent contains extract of Aspalathus linearis as an active component. It can be prepared by extracting the leaves or stalks of Aspalathus linearis with water and/or an organic solvent and distilling out the extraction solvent from the extract or by crushing the leaves or stalks of Aspalathus linearis.
