PURPOSE:To designate a saving area with no disturbance by providing a table for the designation of a saving area and a table for access to said designating table and making both tables take their share of the change of the corresponding relation between them. CONSTITUTION:When a virtual data processor RP0 which is executed by a data processor RP1 is replaced with a virtual data device RP1, a control program to be executed by the processor RP1 sets a start address showing the saving area of the processor RP1 at the entry E13 of the 2nd table T1 of a main memory MMU which is designated by an address. Then the control program starts the program to be executed by the processor RP1. Here no change is needed for the storage contents of the 1st table T0 storing the RP numbers. Then the processor RP1 has a fault and the processor RP2 takes over the execution of the control program so far executed by the processor RP1 in a processor relief mode. In such a case, the control program executed by the processor RP2 changes the corresponding relation between both tables T0 and T1.
