JOINTING STRUCTURE, METHOD, AND DEVICE FOR WIRE HARNESS MAIN LINE WITH BRANCH LINE

PURPOSE: To hinder the tip of a core wire from breaking a tape and prevent generation of poorly insulated condition, etc., by covering the core tip with a tape protection sheath. ;CONSTITUTION: A wire harness junction of its main line with branch line is structured with a main wire 1, branch wire 2, tape protection sheath 3, solderless terminal 4, and insulating tape 5. The main wire 1 is provided with a notch in its sheath part positioned in the middle, and the core wire 11 is exposed by tearing the sheath 12 with the notch as a boundary, and a sheath exfoliation part 13 is produced. Also the branch wire 2 is provided with a sheath exfoliation part 23 with the core wire 21 exposed in the location at the end, and this part is covered with the sheath 3. Therein the sheath 3 is kept separate from the sheath 22 of the branch wire 2. At the solderless terminal 4, the core 11 exposed portion of the main wire 1 is pressure attached to the core 21 exposed portion of the branch wire 2. The insulating tape 5 is wound on the junction of the main wire 1 with branch wire 2 while the sheath 3, terminal 4, and exposed cores 11, 21 are put thereon.
