PURPOSE:To considerably shorten packet retransmission time concerning the packet retransmission system for a satellite communication system in a slot aloha system. CONSTITUTION:Concerning the packet retransmission system for the satellite communication system in the slot aloha system to execute communication between a center station 1 and a lot of slave stations 2a and 2b through a communication satellite 3, the center station 1 transmits a synchronizing signal SYN, manages a received slot number RSLN according to this signal SYN and a prescribed phase, detects the state of signals received from the slave stations and returns a reception response signal RR containing the received slot number at that point of time and detection information R/I concerning the receiving state. The slave stations 2a and 2b manage a transmitted slot number TSLN according to the received synchronizing signal SYN and the prescribed phase and retransmit the relevant transmitted packet when the transmitted slot number at the point of time of transmitting a packet is correspondent to the received slot number in the reception answer signal and the detection information R/I of the receiving state shows abnormality I.
