JAPANESE SYLLABARY/CHINESE CHARACTER CONVERTING METHOD AND JAPANESE SYLLABARY/CHINESE CHARACTER CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To prevent a Chinese character beyond a designated range from appearing at the time of conversion by adding a function which constraints the Chinese character capable of being used according to each step of education to an existing Japanese syllabary/Chinese character converting function, and designating the Chinese character capable of being used or the Chinese character to be used. CONSTITUTION:A conversion range designating dictionary 14 is provided in a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character converting method by which a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion processing means 12 prepares the Chinese character corresponding to the Japanese syllabary from an inputting means 11 by referring to a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion dictionary 13. The entire Chinese characters converted by the Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion processing means 12 are controlled so as to be converted into only the Chinese character within the designated conversion range preliminarily set by the conversion range designating dictionary 14.
