The invention relates to a ready-for-use material which makes it possible to perform toxicological and pharmacological studies on cells preserved in individual culture chambers integrated into a plastic block which permits at the same time their storage, their transport and their experimental use, by virtue of the use of a maintenance medium gelled at low temperature. The invention is intended for example for cosmetic products laboratories unable to equip themselves to carry out cell cultures. The invention represents an alternative to toxicity tests on animals.
