The winding W2 of the transformer is wound around a cylindrical core surrounding the wire W1 through which the horizontal deflection current flows. As soon as zero crossing of the horizontal deflection current appears at the center of the horizontal trace, the core of the transformer changes from saturated to unsaturated and pulses are generated in the transformer. The pulse triggers a one-shot multivibrator device that generates a reset pulse V5. A horizontal velocity parabolic voltage generator (FIG. 2, 60) is arranged in response to the reset pulse, e.g. an auxiliary coil disposed in the cathode ray tube for generating a vertical convergence error correction current (FIG. 3, 78). Generates a horizontal speed paraboler voltage applied to it.
