The wing mirror system uses a pair of wing mirrors on opposite sides of the vehicle (1), providing rear view images projected onto at least one viewing window (3) in the field of view of the vehicle driver, using mirrors, lenses or optical fibres. The rear view images projected onto the viewing window(s) may be magnified or reduced, each using mirror (2) pref. being adjustable to alter its field of view and electrically heated to dispel ice or water from the mirror surface. ADVANTAGE - Allows use of smaller wing mirrors for improving vehicle slipstream profile.
