The invention concerns a device for holding dentist's or dental technician's instruments, in particular burs, abrasive wheels, polishers and/or cutters, as well as a receptacle for such a device. A mount is used to hold securely the equipment necessary for an individual patient, the mount being preferably held in the receptacle in the same way as a magazine, in particular arranged in a specific way. The invention also concerns a method of disinfecting such instruments.
