The computer graphics programme is used for the rapid layout of model railway tracks based upon a number of standard elements. The computer based system employs a pull down menu structure with the aid of a `mouse'. Elements of rail plus connectors and accessories are selected and located on the screen. Each element can be freely moved and rotated to examine possible connections. The system has a zoom facility to examine the arrangement in detail. The final system layout can be printed as hard copy. ADVANTAGE - Provides flexibility and reduces time needed for layout.
